Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he had calmed down his suspicions after his contract was renewed.
Ibrahimovic, who rejoined Milan on a free transfer from LA Galaxy in December 2019, has scored 15 goals in 17 Serie A matches this season.
The 39-year-old - who now has a contract with Rossoni until the end of 2021-22 - has scored 17 goals in all competitions in the injury-plagued 2020-21 campaign, while Evergreen Sweden is second with 28 goals in 45 appearances. Magic with matching.
"I think it will be positive. Even if someone had doubts before I arrived," Ibrahimovic told Milan TV. "I have shown that age does not matter.
"It's all about the mindset. I always want to improve and do my best.
"I just want to feel good physically and be able to do things I know what to do."
Ibrahimovic, who won the 2011 Escudo during his first spell with Milan, has helped the Italian giants take second place this season. That's more than 10 points from City's rivals and leaders Inter, although they are only one point clear of Atlanta and Juventus.
"I try to help everyone, it's a stimulus," said Ibrahimovic, star of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
"It gives me adrenaline to see these young people and their development, from day one to day I have seen progress in each of them.
"Everyone is willing to do their best. Then, in my opinion, they understood the sacrifice that must be made where we are today."
