Former Celtic and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Pat Bonner believe his former club has given up rebuilding at the end of the year.
Bonner expressed the belief that the sudden cessation of nearly a decade of domestic dominance near Celtic marked a turning point in which players should move forward.
Bonner was unable to name anyone, although CQN notes that the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie, Kristoffer Ajir, and Olivier Nchum have all been linked away from Park Head in recent months.
[Via CQN] Speaking to Scottish Sun, Bonner believes the summer is a good time for the brothers to get cash - something that should have happened at the end of last season.
"There were a lot of players who thought they were making a big move and they wanted to go out," Bonner claimed. "
"Maybe it should have been at the start of the season. Two or three of them should have gone out and cleaned the deck of the others. "
How the "clearing" decks for Celtic can show itself in terms of fundraising, a number of sweaters have been mentioned for some of the top hops players.
Christopher Aguirre has been linked with a move to AC Milan in Italy, while Edward has been in court for some time through Premier League clubs Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, it could be a reunion of a former Celtic for Ryan Christie who has joined the Southampton initiative - where former Celtic accountant Armstrong is working on his business.
