Jose Mourinho plans to dig in Liverpool to mark the
seven-year anniversary of Chelsea's infamous 2-0 victory over him at Anfield.
The Reds topped the Premier League in the last few
weeks of the 2013-15 season. But their first title hopes since 1990 were dealt
a major blow when they suffered a dramatic loss.
The game is best remembered for Steven Gerrard
slipping to open the scoring for Demba Ba for the Blues. And for Jose
Mourinho's wild celebrations on the touchline when Willie sealed the victory in
injury time.
Liverpool extended their 3-0 lead to a 3-3 draw
against Crystal Palace in their next match. Eventually trailing Manchester City
by two points as runners-up.
Surprisingly, Chelsea won the match against the Reds
despite owning only 27% during. The competition and Mourinho quoted him in an
Instagram post on Tuesday.
He also shared a photo of the clash with Gerrard
during the game, with the caption: "Anfield, April 27, 2014. Grab the
ball."
The post can also be seen as a defense of his
counter-attack style, with Mourinho. Recently being fired last week for his
alleged excessive negative attitude towards Tottenham.
It remains to be seen what will happen to Mourinho's
future, but it looks like he will never return to the Premier League.
