Manchester City head
coach Pep Guardiola has expressed his concerns about the European Super League
internally but said there was no problem with his relationship with the club's
organizational structure.
The city was the first
club to withdraw from the European Super League, which was widely condemned
last week.
Guardiola mentioned
earlier this week that he had opposed the league without a hitch and had
expressed similar concerns about the concept within the club's walls.
"It wasn't
difficult because we talked about it before I made the statement, and they
totally agree, and that's why I tell you," Guardiola said.
"I love the club. I
love Ferran [Soriano, the chief executive], Txiki [Bergiristein, the sports
director], Khaldoon [Mubarak, the chairman], and the people who work at the
club. We work together.
"Ever since I came
here, we have been together in all decisions.
"I make mistakes,
everyone makes mistakes. People who make decisions make mistakes, boys who make
mistakes while sitting.
"Sometimes you're
wrong. What's the matter? We react and we apologize and move on."
In a message to the club
fans earlier this week, Soriano said the board was "deeply sorry" for
his actions.
